ReJenerate Housing Cooperative is looking for a new member to join us February 1st. We are a very new 10-person co-op that will soon expand to a two-home, multi-family co-op (25 person capacity). We are in a transition phase as we near the end of a remodel. You would be joining the house at an exciting time, but also a time that requires a degree of patience and flexibility.
Currently, members live in apartment units in one of the two co-op houses. “Coopification” renovations (such as building a shared kitchen & connecting the two houses) are underway and we expect to all temporarily move over to the second house while renovations happen in the first house spring or summer 2025.
The available bedroom is on the third floor. You’ll share the space with three roommates all in their late 20s-30s who are fun and kind, as well as a cat (Mooghi). Our collective hobbies include reading, hiking/camping, improv, live music, video games, arts and crafts, and more. Unfortunately, we are not accepting any more pets into the space right now.
Our ideal roommate is someone who wants their living space to be a source of support, open communication, and community. This will be a good fit for you if you are flexible, passionate about communal living, and excited to be a part of developing a brand-new co-op. Given the space and nature of communal living, this may not be a good fit if you are a homebody or someone who prefers solitude.
We have full house dinners every other week, as well as impromptu shared meals, movie nights, and art/crafts parties. Beyond rent, you would be expected to contribute to the cleaning and upkeep of common spaces, sharing of household supplies, and participating – as your availability allows – in house meetings.
***Fine print***This apartment is in the process of being converted from conventional rental apartments to a housing cooperative where residents in two buildings will share a dining hall, commercial kitchen, several common living & recreation rooms, bike storage, three electric vehicles and weekly meals. As part of the transition process, we will be relocating soon to the connecting house, then when remodeling is complete, we will begin filling vacancies to fully membership the co-op.
